Carribean Sun, Sand and Sea!!

Yeah I know..alot of you can't wait for me to talk about my AWESOME cruise to the Bahamas! That's why i decided to upload all the pics on FB first so i can feed your eyes before your literary ears!

I do apologise for the wait because, you know what, after uploading the 435 pictures we took during that 5 days of getaway..I am absolutely stumped as to where to start describing that outta-this-world trip!!!

It started off at 3am at the Austin airport..we only realized how kiasu we were when there was absolutely NOBODY when we arrived. Flights only began at 5.45am!

Finally..ticket to board Carnival Imagination - The Fun Ship and pre-sail safety drill!! This time..the drill was a lil' different from formal aeroplane type safety drills..we actually had to bring our own safety jackets from our cabin and gather at a specific room..and the announcer was super funny la..he started off with "Firstly, put the lifejacket over your head...DUH." Lol.

Check out the huge slides on the deck and the sail-away party...Americans really know how to partae! Everyone just went crazy..it's like they are determined to play hard on their weekend cruise vacation.

The view from the deck at all angles were so picture-worthy, we couldn't stop snapping away..some people found out that when they ate along the corridors of the Lido Deck which was the main food place..throwing crumbs of bread/ham/pizza/anything would cause a WHOLE flock of seagulls to follow us..it was pretty hilarious actually..the seagulls were like circus birds catching and fighting for crumbs and they could swoop up/down/left/right - must remember that the ship was moving really fast and got wind leh! Pro can.

Drinks and Duty Free Liquor were plenty aboard..we drank the daily specials until super seh by midnight..haha..See that Absolute Vodka there..selling 2 for $20 leh! Tempting hor..but we're not big drinkers la..and we didn't want to have excess baggage + declare stuff etc..

So anyway..Nassau, Bahamas was our destination! It was pretty commercialized really, with all the Duty Free Shops selling real diamonds and liquor, and manymany touristy stuff. BUT. The main highlight was of course...

COACH!!! :)
okay i shan't quote the price i got these gorgeous wallet/bag/pouch for over here..come ask me yourself if you wanna know =)

okay well besides the cheap branded goods, the Bahamas had nice beaches too..but we didn't go over to Paradise Island, which supposedly has the most beautiful beach among the Bahamian Islands, coz we had to take cab or sth and we didnt have time..so we stayed on Nassau beach. Oh. and of course we tried their (USD$9 super ex) Conch Fritters which is basically like the fried doughnuts you find in Prata stalls but with conch nuggets inside (abit like squid). And we bought the Nassau Bahamas signiture Rum Cakes for family back home!

*****************

Yup, so that was our short 1 day onshore trip of Nassau Bahamas..truly rewarding and just the beginning of our sun-tanning days!!

2nd Night after Bahamas: On the ship back to Port of Miami..drinks, drinks, and More Drinks!! Their cocktails are good but really strong..haha..and of course..we ate more..later i'll compile a collage of the 9834798457 dishes of food we consumed in just 4 days on the ship!

Day 3: Suntanning on the deck + plenty of chillin' + Big Slides!
And then..guess what we saw!!

Damn cool can! Sea Tornado! The captain started annovncing on the speakers and told everyone to take pictures with it..haha cool shit.

----------->>>>
Before.................after 15 mins..............Tadah!!

Other activities on board..Ice Carving Demo which was awesome..the professional carver took only 15 mins! And the MC was like..'Guess how much we paid for this guy to come?' and 'Guess how much the ice block weighed before and after it was carved?'

Answers: US$800-1000, 300kg and 150kg

Then there was Men's Hairy Chest Competition..all the FAT angmohs damn enthu la!!
Super hilarious coz all the uncles who came up had to dance in front of 4 hot chicks who were the judges of their favorite hairy guy...quite Eeew actually.
So after we were board with on stage activities..we went back to our cabin and took..

EMO PICS...

haha. the cabin window was just so tempting lah. :)

Okay! Finally for my collage of food consumed over the 4-day cruise!!

whew..finally one post up at least! Haven't even touched Miami yet leh!

But Miami totally deserves one new entry on its own..

And..more to come...tonight's Jason Mraz concert!!!

Boy, i sure am busy! Good night for now though..
:)
