The weather nowadays just takes my mood for writing and scrapes it across the side of a matchbox. Ahh.. the reading week is almost gone, which means one less week of holiday for me before internship starts!
heh heh yeah i know, i'm such a slacker..lucky me..blahblah..having no finals is not that fun when everyone else is mugging! i almost wish i have sth to study for! (okay i take that back)
So, what have i been up to since everyone started burying their noses in notes and murdering their good eyesight?
Met up with an oldoldold friend, one i consider my best, still. We hadn't met up since before i went SEP which was a good 6 months after she went for hers and so that makes like 2 meetings in more than a year. It sucks how life takes your best friend and drags you apart unknowingly after Secondary school; i wish she'd made it to VJ but she didn't, and then off to NTU she went too.
Nonetheless, our infrequent meetings always feel the same..full of laughter and honest exchanges. Funnily enough we always almost did the same things albeit in different places - we did Science courses in JC and Business in Uni, and we even now wanna work in the same sector! I really hope we end up somewhere closer in the future..like colleagues or something. Okay, i know all the politics might ruin things and all; maybe in different departments. Ah, God knows how much i miss those good ol' days we had together..i think i never had as much fun studying in my entire schooling life after that.
(Not that i need to study now that i have no finals! *evil grin*)
It does feel good to keep in touch with old friends..i think i'll dig up a few more this holidays before i turn into a hobbit. nono. it's hermit. same thing la..boringboringboring i've actually been sitting on my ass for the whole day doing nothing but watching movies on my harddisk i'm almost clearing them all! *Brain degeneration warning light is on* Okay i'm ranting.
Oh, i see the title that i wrote for this entry!
So i got it reversed. Anyhow, i decided to make Fortune Cookies for the block to motivate everyone on Wednesday! Found this recipe online that looked easy to do, and got the simple ingredients needed and an excited sis to help out. Then i wrote like 33 notes of good luck in different versions to put in the cookies..
After 3 hours of toil at the oven, me and my sis decided that..maybe making fortune cookies won't make us our fortune. F-A-I-L-E-D!!! like 10++ batches all sucked..somehow the little round circles we baked always cracked because too crispy, or were not crispy enough in the middle! So my sis decided to just make small fortune coins instead, just to use up the 2nd bowl of batter.
Tadah!! 2 fortune cookies i successfully made but with soft middles (the top one fell flat after 1hr, my goodluck notes and some fortune coins!!)
Actually had a few more coins..but Farah ate them up!

Oh well, i'm glad somebody liked my fortune coins anyway! :) They did taste good, just too bad their shaped didn't turn out..should have just made more coins with the batter lah.
Okie dokes, that's all for my becoming-weekly blog post! Shall try to keep up..i'm sure there'll be more exciting things coming my way, what with the interviews i have next week and more old pal-meetups planned for the month!
